"What is your 2LIV4"

Meet Greg

The founder and vice president of 2LIV4 knows firsthand what it is to face physical and cognitive challenges. Greg Cooley was involved in a car accident that sheared his brain stem and caused a basal skull fracture. He spent several months in a coma followed by rehab to relearn the most basic skills. Through support, courage, resilience, and fortitude, Greg graduated from Metropolitan State University in Denver and went on to have a 20-year career in the oil and gas industry.

Despite his disabilities, he continues to live life to the fullest and feels like he always has something 2LIV4. His adventures have included, skiing, skydiving, scuba diving, rock climbing, and kayaking. He is dedicated to helping others with physical and cognitive challenges live life to the fullest.

Accessibility Statement

2LIV4 strives to make all of our content accessible to everyone. We are a small team of volunteers, none of whom are professional website developers. We use Wix's accessibility wizard as a guide and kindly ask for your patience as we learn and make improvements on our site. If we can enhance your experience on2LIV4.org in any way, please let us know by sending an email below.

Disability Etiquette

2LIV4 is committed to telling stories about people from their individual and unique perspective — not our own. Each person interviewed for a story is given the opportunity to collaborate with our writers to refine the tone of the article, and we do our best to accurately reflect their views. Disability etiquette is complex, and we aim to respect each individual’s lexical choices. In short, if the subject of the article abhors being referred to as an inspiration, we will respect their truth and refrain from doing so. On the other hand, if the subject takes pride in being called an inspiration, we will not deny them that, even if the community standard currently rejects the use of the word.

A Founder with a Mission- Greg Cooley

The founder and vice president of 2LIV4 knows firsthand what it is to face physical and cognitive challenges. Greg Cooley was a red-headed, freckle-faced 13-year-old who did backflips and captured tadpoles with his bare hands at every water hole in the neighborhood until a car accident sheared his brain stem and caused a basal skull fracture. He spent several months in a coma followed by rehab to relearn the most basic skills, like how to breathe, crawl, eat, walk, and even talk again.
